I wrote a commission where they used a combo of acupressure and acupuncture to a similar effect.

Great image/concept. But I would've changed one thing.

Don't get me wrong; Toph aged up and "stepfordized" is fantastic but I've always pictured her going back to wearing the dress she wore in her debut episode

Interesting how someone found a way to create hypnotic vibrations since there seems to be only one person in the world able to perceive them to that level and she didn't even agree to that. Ether with magic or technology, it's like trying to create a brain washing visual in a world where everybody, including yourself, is almost completely blind, except for one person; and that one person able to see clearly enough to be affected by a visual isn't going to be there for help you testing it, because they mustn't know until you hypnotize them with it.
