Is it me or is titles for shows becoming more and more literal as time passes?

I think that's a Japanese/manga thing... most American shows have simple titles named after a character, location, or aspect of the show (Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, and Over the Garden Wall in order are examples of those). Then you have manga like "Is it Wrong to Pick up Girls in a Dungeon?" and "WataMote: No Matter How I Look at it, it’s You Guys’ Fault I’m Unpopular!" and light novels with similar titles. If I'm right I'm pretty sure most manga/anime don't have too long titles (some of the most popular shounen are titled Dragon Ball (Z), One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach), it's just that if you see a long title like the one in the tags here, it's probably going to be Japanese (manga, anime, light novel).

I think it's just a particular subset of light novels that are responsible for this
