It had all started in Kanto: a powerful psychic Pokemon had appeared by the name of "Mewtwo" and had started a region-wide rampage against humanity. Trainers and non-trainers alike were targeted by the creature, who appeared to have some sort of power over any Pokemon that came near him. Mewtwo had slowly but surely amassed an army of Pokemon, which seemed to follow his every beck and call without question.
Many of Kanto's citizens were evacuated, with few trainers even having the slightest chance of standing up to Mewtwo. The plan for the moment was to withdraw and observe, try to figure out a way to take out Mewtwo with minimal risk or loss. For a while, the plan worked. Things calmed down. But some how, some way, Mewtwo found his way to the neighboring region of Johto, where his campaign against humanity resumed.
He had entered through the coast, past New Bark Town, which was quickly overrun by a horde of sentrets and pidgeys, forcing the townsfolk from their homes. However, instead of proceeding Eastward to Cherrygrove, Mewtwo had taken a turn North, making his way to Blackthorn City...
A lone figure would be waiting for him, arms crossed with a pokeball in hand: the talented young woman known as Clair. A master-level dragon trainer and one of the gym leaders of the region.
Her cousin, Lance, was already in the process of evacuating the city's people through the caves that laid North of Blackthorn.
"Don't you know who you're talking to, Lance?" She'd stated, as he'd expressed concern for her. "I've only ever been beaten a handful of times, and never by some wild Pokemon. This one's rampage ends here, with me!"
Even as Lance left with the city's people following close behind, turning Blackthorn into a ghost town, Clair stood with confidence with a pokeball in her hand. There wasn't a doubt in her mind that she and her partners would be able to put a stop to Mewtwo. The thought of running didn't cross her mind once, her pride not allowing her to waver in the slightest. She stood and waited, watching the Southward path out of the city and waiting.
It wasn't long before her fated opponent arrived, kicking up dust and stone as he glided over the rocky mountain path, darting towards her at a blindingly fast speed. He stopped mere feet away from Clair, stopping as the cloud of debris behind him began to settle.
"I hope you've had your fun, Mewtwo. Because I'm putting a stop to it here." She smirked, raising her Pokeball and tossing it up into the air. "Come on, Dragonair!"
The ball stopped mid-air, and didn't open.
"What?" Clair looked to the pokeball, then to Mewtwo- whose hand was raised in its direction. Halting the pokeball midair with its psychic power, he flicked his wrist and flung it away, far off into the grass nearby.
"Hey!" Clair clenched her fist, the thought of simply charging at the Mewtwo briefly crossing her mind. However, she had enough sense to instead reach for her next Pokemon.
The Mewtwo twirled his hand in the air, and several rings that seemed to be made of light and energy appeared around Clair's body. They closed in on her, eliciting a groan as she was squeezed.
"You... let... me... go!" Clair growled, squirming and trying her best to break free of the psychic rings- but they were strong as steel, refusing to budge in the slightest. With another flick of his wrist, the rings lifted Clair up from the ground and floated her towards her captor, helplessly kicking and twisting her body all the while.
Clair scowled, even as she was forced to hover before Mewtwo. "Whatever you're planning on doing, hurry up and get it over with."
The Pokemon didn't reply- not with anything audible, anyway. Instead, he raised his hand, aglow with psychic energy. Clair's body was turned around, and she shut her eyes- expecting this to be the end for her.
Instead, she felt Mewtwo's hands press against each side of her head. "What are you doing?"
Mewtwo's eyes closed, and he began to weave his powers over Clair's mind. The gym leader could only float there, feeling her mind begin to get lighter and her muscles involuntarily relax by the moment.
"Aaah... whaaat... what is this?" A smile crossed her face, and her body started to sway back and forth as Mewtwo began to take control of her. She had no idea what was happening to her, but she couldn't deny how good it felt. Her memories, her thoughts, her aspirations, all being washed away by the tide that was Mewtwo's will. Instead, they were replaced with a few simple, repeating words:
"Obey. You are weak. You belong to me. Pokemon are superior. Obey. You are weak. You belong-"
"Nnnno. I won't let you take control of me!" Through sheer willpower alone, she pushed the thoughts from her mind and continued resisting Metwo's power in full. Her body shook, she gritted her teeth, and the psychic rings began to shake and twirl all around her, as if they'd become unstable. Mewtwo was losing control... for the moment.
Mewtwo, far more intelligent that the average Pokemon, was impressed by her willpower. In the end, it would prove to be nothing next to his psychic prowess. Clapping his hands to the side of her face, he pressed on her mind with the full brunt of his power and practically collapsed her mind in one fell swoop.
The rings pressed close to her once more, and the grin returned to Clair's face. "Ahhh... I will obey. I'm so weak... I belong to you... you are superior..." An uncharacteristic giggle escaped her lips, and she stopped moving all together.
The Mewtwo pet the top of her head, knowing that she would no longer resist. Though he detested humans, he couldn't help but admire the fight that this one had put up.
Yes, this one would be a great asset to him...

If any of you happen to read the story and have criticism for me, I welcome it wholeheartedly. I certainly don't blame you if you just wanna admire the quality animation, though.
