Third and penultimate part of the Hypno-Turnstyles comic. Yes, the fates of the three "criminals" was fairly predictable... now the question is simply: What did the audience think of the propaganda film?

I'm guessing in some way it's a twist, like she's showing the video to a room of hypnotized girls, or to a few board members surrounded by hypnotized girls doing other jobs.

So I'm guessing this video is -for- hypno informers who are mindless and watching the 'training' video. or aforementioned board members, who are using like hypno lady desks, hypno lady tripod to hold the camera, etc. . .

Since it's established in the comments at least that this was a staged propaganda film, the question comes up; did they cut away from the actual brainwashing process because they were paid actresses; and thus didn't go through the full brainwashing routine, OR are there actual legal reasons to not show it and their actresses have been enslaved for the sake of keeping it a secret that it was staged...

(Clearly I'm not sure) but I'm guessing both is maybe the answer, I'm guessing if there was no reason at all they probably could have a booth turned off and let them walk into it, but it's many companies policies to not show 'under the hood' sort of information, I think that'd be pretty standard to not show your magic booths of 'make a turnstyle'

I take it you approve. ^_^ But yes, it IS dark. That's kind of what I was going for.



To be honest, the REAL reason is that the comic was getting too long for its four parts and I couldn't cram in the conversion process as well, at least not without expanding it to five parts... which would have cost extra for the commissioner. We talked about it, and we agreed to cut the conversion scene... which was just as well, really because I still have no idea how I would have drawn it. ^_^* So I just added a part to the dialogue about how they couldn't show the process for legal reasons.

In-universe? You're probably on to something.



This is a world where you can end up a hypnotized slave/turnstyle for petty crimes, and you risk encountering hypnotized naked ladies standing in for metro turnstyles at any point, and NOBODY comments on it... probably because they risk ending up the same way. It's not a nice place. There's a reason why I've repeatedly called it a dystopia. ^_^

Also, I never quite pinned down the girls' ages, but I imagine them to be above the age of consent. Not that they actually consented to this, but... well, in this world they're clearly old enough to be convicted and punished like adults.
