I can Imagine one of the Demons who they face tricking Merlin into giving away her free will. As the demon said he'd give her all the knowledge of the cosmos for a price. She would leap to it and sign the contract, but the price was her free will and now the demon has her as his personal diaper slave that he makes her fill her pampers and do his bidding

Plus, Merlin is secretly a little girl, so the demon would make her act her own age. I won't lie, Merllin does look cute
