I cannot say if it's feasible or not in canon since I'm too unfamiliar with the Zero no Tsukaima verse to tell.

You ruined the character XD, this poor guy never askdd fpr anything XDD (it's not bad, I'm just a bit duismayed every time I see a character I like in a bad light like this)
Btw to answer your question (and if I remember right) this situation might be possible (although saito's way too much of a good guy to do that) his power was never really that clearly explained to begin with

Most of the stuff that wound up crossing over into that world were from WW2. The Tiger Tank that was sent to Japan but never made it? Cause it wound up slipping through a dimensional portal somehow. They also had an 88mm Flak Cannon.

no it's not cannon in the first season Satio was given a golden sword (a gift from kirche) which was just meant to look pretty on a wall. And Satio's rune didn't work and it wasn't till he used his other blade (meant to kill things) that his rune worked.

Sorry kinda a huge fan XD like first anime i ever watched.... that explains why i'm so screwed up today considering i think i was like 12 at the time i first saw it.
