Well the deadbeat did show up during the train fight to save her daughter. No parent is perfect. Heck unless I remember wrong, Yang didn't even know about Raven till after Summer died

True. But Raven didn't raise Yang, it was Summer Rose. After all, in Vol 2, Yang did refer to Summer as Super Mom. Still, one could argue that Raven has some attachment for Yang given how her teleportation power works. But it doesn't change the fact that she abandoned her family, Taiyang and Yang, to be with the tribe.

And that's one thing that bothers me about the series, granted there are many issues but I'll focus on one, and that Summer Rose is barely talked about at all within the show. Like come on, what was her relationship with Raven and Qrow back then? Why doesn't Ruby ask anyone about her mother like her father or uncle? Why isn't Yang with Ruby visiting her mother's grave at the beginning of Vol 3, considering the former has fond memories of Summer. But I'll leave it at that. Anyway, let's all enjoy this image. ^^

Yeah. And like I said, she's a better parent than Weiss and Winter's dad. Instead of supporting his daughters, he disowns his daughters just because they actually value the name and refuse to go along with his perversion of it
