The mouth looks a little out of place, particularly because the original already had a slightly agape mouth...

It did, but it was a little harder and didn't have the softness that I think the confused/lost look I was going for needed.

And in my defense, I think that the the mouth only appears out of place when you reference the original pic. Viewed fresh, i think it looks fine. But, that's me.

Mouth looks normal to me too. About the colors: I suspect this is because the original had a color profile attached. Gimp and Photoshop (and others) let you strip those (they only cause trouble outside of the printing business).

I guess I'm just biased, since I really like the source image and prefer her expression in that.

Interesting. So, that can affect the sample images that our site creates?
