You know, i have already seen one with 2 days left .... let's cross our fingers that it's not moved back again at the last minute and that we can get a quick rip and not have to wait for 2 weeks till after the release. Some of the Release groups for these games lately release the games only after they have been on the market for a couple of weeks.
That being said - you never even played the first game ... just the pictures isn't even half the fun ...
With a lot of Luck, maybe in 4-5 years ... The amount of text in these games is INSANE. I don't know how fan translations manage to do this, but I now understand why it takes them months, in some cases even years, to finish these translations ...

Fair enough. Didn't want to offend you - you already said that you don't like the gibberish ITH/AGTH+Google translations, but I assure you, that everyone that doesn't play the game is really missing a big chunk of the fun. I was even thinking about grabbing a couple of the pictures and putting in the text of the scenario, but it is just too much or would spread over 10-12 Pictures which would translate into quite a lot of work and it just wouldn't be the same.

Let's face it - the chances are very, very slim. Especially with the different jurisdictions which outlaws a high percentage of the stuff. The Japanese do not want another Rapelay incident, they are done with us, they do not care, they only focus on the japanese market. And I can't even blame them.
I think our fetish is also to niche for having a fan translation (They mostly translate visual novels with mild sexual content anyway). If we want a translation, the community will need to do it. There's no way around it. Everything else is wishful thinking and I'd be very happy if I am wrong with this assumption, but I am probably not.
Well, I never said I thought it would actually happen... Definitely not in an official capacity.
Edit: Also, some eroges still get official English releases, but they're usually fan translation that are bought by a publisher. I remember reading a month or two ago that the latest Raidy game was getting an English release.

Yes, what I wait for before playing Saimin This and Saimin that is... learning Japanese. Which is not far from the bottom of my life's to-do list.
Altough, the first Prision Battleship was a godsend, it was so well translated too. So I still didn't lose hope on translations.
Also, let's not forget that the chances of having next-to-perfect automatic translation when we become old perverts is high. Or even in much less time, really.
