So she decided to hop universes for this one, I see. Why does everyone dislike DC Starfire over the cartoon?
Well, all comic characters have different versions and everyone has their favourites. For many, Teen Titans Starfire was their first exposure so she's their fav DC Starfire. The same can often be said for Raven, BeastBoy and Cyborg (Robin has a lot of Batman based appearances to win people over)
