Not sure what happened with the source link, they disappeared from all versions of this manip, but that should be corrected now. And yeah it's bigger than desired but smaller sizes reduced quality tonnes (it also sucks that mp4s aren't supported as that's what I use on Twitter).

I use the saber plugin (it's free) in after effects, which can be used with text layers. It's also the plugin used for the slight glow around Ahri herself.

I tried to follow the tutorial for the plugin, but I can't figure out how to make the effect only look like that instead of having the text fill it in. For me, it looks like the effect is a background for the text instead of being the "outline" of the text like yours.
