 | Pauline was [[mario|Mario's]] first love interest before he met [[princess_peach|Princess Peach]]. Pauline first appeared in the original [[donkey_kong|Donkey Kong]] arcade game where Mario, then known simply as "Jump Man", had to save her from Donkey Kong.
Pauline appears more recently in [[super_mario_odyssey|Super Mario Odyssey]] where she is the Mayor of New Donk City. When Mario travels to New Donk, after saving it from a giant mechanical Wiggler, Pauline hosts a festival where she sings Mario Odyessy's main song "Jump Up, Super Star!".
Fun fact: In the original Donkey Kong arcade game Pauline had blonde hair. Her hair is now brown, but this early design choice has mislead a lot of people into thinking Mario is saving Princess Peach during Donkey Kong. Updated by thehypnotist Fri, Nov 12 '21, 20:34 | Version 1 |
