Tag type: General

A character is hypnotized into believing they are in a situation different from reality.
This reality does not need to be abnormal. For example they can believe that they are having sex but they are just hand-holding.

Related effects

These following tags might not be mutually exclusive to altered_perception and may overlap, but in general:
* aware characters know what reality is, so no altered_perception has taken place.
* unaware characters don't realize they are tranced. This is the closest tag to altered_perception.
* corruption or corrupted characters know what reality is, but don't care.
* mindlessly obedient characters can't even think what situation they are in.
* altered_common_sense characters know what reality is, but treats any abnormal reality as normal.
