Refers to any image relating to the celebration of the first day of the new year on the Gregorian calendar.

Many artists also pay tribute to the Chinese zodiac by incorporating whatever animal corresponds to that year. They often do so by having characters dressed up as or resembling the zodiac animal of that year. For example, cow_girls for the year of the ox and bunny_girls for the year of the rabbit.
