sadly its because kids and parents found him to scary, which to look at he kinda is, but even as a kid that made him awesome to me. He took no shit at the beginning compared to Rita who had Squat and Baboo to mess things up. The only question I had, when i was younger, was why was there an insta-kill button on his putties.

I'm a hardcore Power Rangers fan, but I never thought about that. but now that you mention it...why would he do that with the Putties? if anything, he made them even easier to defeat.

I saw it as just a giant, glowing, blatant sign of his ego. He was SO certain he was better that he has them running around with his giant logo all over their instant-kill button... and refused to remove his name from them because of pride.

hmm. there's an idea. speaking of pride, I'm not so proud of Power Rangers I won't give Super Sentai a chance. also, I am not afraid to call Super Megaforce "Pooper Negafarce" to Saban's face. oh, and while we're on the subjet of Power Rangers, is this the only season you know, or do you know other seasons? 'cause as we've said, there is a staggering lack of Power Rangers MC here, despite there being so many signs of it in the show. like glowing eyes, shrunken irises(like that episode of Dino Thunder when Kira got controlled by that bone thing
