Basically Mr Weatherbee sees Betty and Veronica walking though the school and going out of a window, and he believes that Archie has somehow hypnotised them for sinister purposes. But the window's on the ground floor, and it turns out it was just Archie giving them a puzzle to solve. They had to follow a path through the school and guess the shape it made. Turns out it was an octagon.
