the current pool they're all in is just a character tag and shouldn't be a pool at all.
I'll address this first. It is one of the many uses for pools and is allowed. While we don't tag OC names because it would be a little absurd to expect us to research every OC's name, we do allow pools for OCs. Pools are meant to be used for not only sequences, but also images that are related in ways that are not meant to be tagged, cannot be tagged easily and with enough detail, or cannot be tagged in a consistent manner without interfering with other tagging processes.
In particular, this allowance of OC pools started because we realized that, in rare cases, it's beneficial to be able to find images on an OC. For example, while we didn't want to inconsistently tag OCs, there were some incredibly popular OCs out there that were prevalent to the fetish, such as Solaris, who have been drawn by many different artists. Solaris was our first OC pool.
Tempest Kitty's pool, in particular, came to be when she, herself (assuming she due to character gender; forgive me if I'm wrong, Tempest) came here, asking for us to tag the character or remove the images (they are all her commissions, I believe). She explained that the character was based off of herself, and that it just bothered her for it to not receive any sort of recognition by name. While, when we explained that we don't tag OCs here and that that was why the tag was missing she understood and was willing to let the images stay, we decided to be nice and make her character a pool.
You can argue that maybe we should just tag OCs, instead, but know that where as we only have two OC pools now and have had 0 problems with them, we'd be fighting an uphill battle every other day with people tagging OCs if we ever tagged even a few of them, due to not being consistent. It was a way to save headaches, still allow original creators to feel comfortable without their OCs being tagged and named, and help people pool OCs that they felt were prominent characters, all in one.
Speaking of: removed the tempest_kitty tags again.
Is there a request system for pools?
No, but, like tags, anyone can make a pool. If a user feels the need to make a pool for something, they need just read <<hypnohub.net/wiki/show?title=howto%3Apools|the howto:pools wiki page>> and make one themselves. If it's for a sequence, they just need to be careful to follow the naming convention outlined in the howto page. We'll keep an eye on pools made and, if one of them is categorically worthless and just cluttering the list, we'll inform the creator and delete the pool.
That said, even though all users can make pools, it's one of the more advanced features on the site and can be confusing. In fact, you need to turn on the advanced editing user account option just to see the option to add images to pools.
As for this set's pool? I'll handle it.

Request deletion of <<hypnohub.net/pool/show/106||pool #106>> in light of new OC tags.
Done!
